I got these ideas out of a Pottery Barn magazine and since I can't afford Pottery Barn I decided to make these myself in the most inexpensive way possible!
The glass containers all came from Ross for $5.00-$19.00, I have seen them at Wal-Mart as well for about the same price. I use these all year round so they have been a great investment.

These pumpkins and pine cones came in a set for $5.00 each at
Wal-Mart. They were kind of boring and they looked cheap so I bought some gold spray glitter (also from
Wal-Mart) and sprayed the
pumpkins which made them look more elegant. The rocks in the bottom are "river rocks" from
Wal-Mart. There are located outside by the potting soil and playground sand it comes in a large bad and costs around $4.00. These rocks are very pretty once you rinse them off and they are a fraction of the price as the decorative rocks you find in the craft section.

This arrangement is the same as the one above. This one is just in a different container

I went outside a picked up a lot of sticks to make this arrangement. I broke them all to around the same length and spray painted them with fall colors (you can also spray these with gold glitter as well for additonal shimmer) and tied raffia around the bunch!

Finished product! See below for more details...

O.K., so I went outside again and picked up more sticks...hey they are FREE you know. I spray painted them with pretty fall colors and put these in my largest glass container.

This is a smaller version of the arrangement on the above photos (center). This was how my fireplace turned out with the fall decorations that I made myself for next to nothing!
I hope you got a few ideas and enjoyed these projects.
Enjoy!!
